Greg Judge Passes the Torch

 

After years of dedication, Southeast Pet’s visionary founder Greg Judge is starting a new chapter, but while his role here may be different, it’s far from goodbye.

Founded in 1975, Southeast Pet is celebrating its 50th year in business, so there was no better time for Greg to transition to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. While his day-to-day presence in the office will change, Greg is quick to point out that he isn’t going far. After all, “you can’t simply walk away from 50 years of your life”, and Southeast Pet remains deeply personal and important to him.

The transition also marks a proud moment for the Judge family. Ryan Judge succeeds Greg as CEO after serving as President for many years, and Greg has expressed his utmost honor and appreciation that the Board of Directors fully endorsed his choice of successor.

As for Greg’s retirement plans, he doesn’t have any! Greg may be stepping away from the CEO role, but his guidance, presence, and passion for Southeast Pet will continue to be felt throughout the business. Oh, and for anyone wondering—don’t worry! He’ll still be here for Weiner Wednesday!
